Bringing Joy to the Journey

Despite misconstrued theories that tours are for the unrefined or young-at-heart, a new group of travelers is adopting tours. Why? Modern Touring offers travelers the chance to enjoy every moment of their vacation. Without the hassles of organizing transportation or navigating each destination - not to mention waiting in countless lines. Tour travelers have more time to take pleasure in and benefit from their getaway. For most Americans, time is money, and now touring is becoming the ultimate vacation saver.

Think traveling and vacationing have to be mutually exclusive? Think again. The world's most inspiring and extraordinary places are meant to be enjoyed, and our programs and tours with Globus tours allows travelers to do just that: Enjoy the amazing world around them.

While on tour with Globus, guests are privy to award-winning land programs featuring world class accommodations, guided sightseeing, engaging lectures, unequaled access into key destinations, and incomparable storytelling, thanks to the finest tour directors in the business.

Globus' dedication to offering the most relevant and interesting experiences available exceeds travelers expectations time and again. In fact, 97% of Globus' guests say the company has met or exceeded their expectations.

We have organized two distinct tours with Globus in 2013. We have the Italy's Great Cities May 16-23, 2013, and French Sampler September 28-October 5, 2013. Each offer continuing education programs, so you can earn your continuing education credits and visit the great cities of Europe.

Simply Italy with Trafalgar

We have added a new continuing education program for nurses with Trafalgar Tours. We will be visiting Italy March 16-24, 2013 - and it includes the great Italian Cities - Rome, Florence, Venice, Pisa and Sienna.
Pricing for this land tour is just $1699/person, as airfare and optional insurance is additional.
Why Trafalgar Tours? Trafalgar is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, but this is not a company that's celebrating its past. Instead, it's highlighting the break-through programs it's developed to meet the changing needs of the marketplace with unique and experiential vacation concepts under theumbrella of "guided vacations". As part of that evolving process the company developed a whole new program focusing on authentic dining experiences called "Be My Guest" which are family hosted, family fun, with local food and wine in the destination you are traveling in, unique to Trafalgar, not something anyone can buy or obtain in any other way.
Another change has been what Trafalgar calls "Insider Highlights". When you travel with an insider, you get local knowledge, skip the lines, get the best restaurants and you save time. These programs are focused on delivering unique local experience like the"Be My Guest" program.
We have partnered with Trafalgar for over 4 years, and by far, they have exceeded our expectations and delivered a memorable experience for our guests. Trafalgar Tours and Wilson Shepard Education Associates can deliver the right program and the right tour.
Join us on our tour Simply Italy - March 16-24, 2013.

National Nurses Week

National Nurses Week 2012
Nurses: Advocating, Leading, Caring
Often described as an art and a science, nursing is a profession that embraces dedicated people with varied interests, strengths and passions because of the many opportunities the profession offers. As nurses, we work in emergency rooms, school based clinics, and homeless shelters, to name a few. We have many roles – from staff nurse to educator to nurse practitioner and nurse researcher – and serve all of them with passion for the profession and with a strong commitment to patient safety.
Background
National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

What does your organization do to celebrate nurses week? Tell us - we want to know.

England is Great

Historic yet contemporary, traditional yet cutting-edge, metropolitan yet wild. England has everything you could want in a vacation. There are numerous unusual places and events where you can experience English eccentricities.
How about a competition to find the UK's biggest liar, or eating raw onions in the Forest of Dean?
Trendsetters can explore Liverpool's signature boutiques. Music lovers, meanwhile can join a magical mystery tour to learn more about the Beatles, a band that will never go out of fashion.
And for that quintessential English experience, ride on an old steam train through Yorkshire's moors or spend an afternoon wandering through a vast rosy garden before indulging in afternoon tea.
There are some things in life that only London can offer.

Nursing conference in France & New Seminar at Sea

We just added a new tour for 2013 - can you believe it! Spring has just arrived and we are already thinking a year in advance. We have decided to add a 8 day tour to France September 28-October 5, 2013 with Globus Tours. It starts in Paris and ends in Nice - the Cote ' d Azur on the Mediterranean Sea. We have been listening to other professionals and they expressed a desire to visit France. Why not extend your visit with a 3 day pre-tour of Paris. With everything to see and do in Paris, it will be well worth the time. And yes, you can add the continuing education component to this - making this a true educational event.

Thought about a Seminar at Sea? Well we just added Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas doing a 7 night eastern Caribbean cruise March 9-16, 2013. We cruised on this ship - family vacation, and it is truly amazing with all the different neighborhoods, specialty restaurants, and we still didn't do everything. It will visit Nassau, St Thomas and St Maarten...all great islands. So if you have never cruised, or have, please join us - it includes the educational component too. They even have "Hairspray" musical as free onboard entertainment...awesome!

Got any requests for new CE programs? Become a contributor and share your research with your colleagues.
Any requests for destinations you would like to see? We often incorporate the health care practices with the destinations we visit, so tell us what you would like to see. We look forward to hearing from you.
